Awful

All this app does is try to get you to purchase the paid version. Why even make a free version if it is too annoying to use.

Horrible on brass

Its supposed to be for all instruments but does not do well for trumpet but i guess it might be the back ground noise also

Best for pros... Free version is useless for basic use

Its pretty tough to understand what is in tune... It changes while I tried to tune one string... As though it doesnt know what string I am playing. My guitar isnt that out of tune... Maybe because Im a pro I cant appreciate it... But I wouldnt know since the free version is very restrictive. Test it before you play out... Def a strange one. Good news is that you can change the frequency.

Great App

This app really helps me even up through 7th position on my violin; it is extremely accurate with the tone--so much so that it can take awhile to get it just right. Great, very specific tuner. The tuning fork is wonderful for training the ear for fourth, fifth, and seventh positions by listening to the tones (A3-A6) for a while. I have recommended this app to my students; I have noticed that beginners cant listen to the open G, though. My overall assessment as a violin player: great for tuning and playing by ear from 1st (-G) to 7th position.

HORRIBLE

I thought it would help me tune! NOOOOO! It made me MORE out of tune!

This does not work

I played the E string on my violin and it said I was playing a D as if it were a gutar thats not what I play fix it so that you can select the type of instrument to tune

This app is amazing

I always trust this app to keep my instrument in tune every time I use it. It helps me make sure Im playing in the right note.

Love this tuner

Love the tuner... Bought it once but cant seem to restore the purchase

Simple, easy to use, paid version is #1

If you need a tuner to either generate a particular tone or detect what tone is being made, after trying and buying several tuners I settled in this as the best. By far. Its easy to switch into detect or generation modes, and its dead easy to set the base frequency of A4. Some tuners are preset to guitar or other instrument tones. Ok...if you are learning an instrument and you dont know the notes of your open strings, you have bigger problems. Some have annoying ads, some have slow & painful interfaces, some have bad and/or slow displays, some only generate tones like a pitch pipe instead of detecting them, and many cant or cant easily set the base frequency. I dont know why its so hard to make the basics work, but this is the first Ive found that does. This one has to be paid to get a few features like sensitivity which helps smooth out the dynamics on my cello, I have not seen this feature elsewhere. (They show up under settings, but it asks you to upgrade, which is better than ads, you can just not go into settings.) But this free version is actually still better and more usable than any other Ive found.

I Use This for Band

I really like this turner because I can check and see if my notes are hitting the right sound. The teaches recommend this to all the students and it works flawlessly.

Awesome app!!!! Easy to use! Very functional free app!!!!

I havent used the full version of this app but if its any better than the light version... Its well worth 2.99$ or hell even 4.99-9.99$ !!! Great Ap!!!

Terrible

Worst app ever now I have to take my violin to get repaired because it made it so out of tune just buy a tuner

Second Review

So, Ive written a review on this thing before, but I thought yall should know that while its not a totally worthless app, I did end up snapping my violin string. It kept saying that I was not tuning it far enough and I ended up with a broken string and a broken heart... no, not that bad, but still

This is crap

Great Tuner

Ive tried several tuners before stumbling upon this one, and this is by far the best one Ive found. Im really contemplating on upgrading.

Great tuner

This app is quick, and works great. I use for multiple tunings on guitars and have been pleasantly surprised at how useful it is for vocal training. I probably use it every day. I would hate to be without it.

Doesnt work

Doesnt work properly

Terrible

Use it if you want an out of tune instrument. Picks up every ambient noise in your area and it confuses the app so you never get a true note. Your better off using a piano key for your low string then use 5th fret ear tuning for the rest.

For the iPad

Awesome! Probably even better on a more portable iPhone. Tossed my Ibanez tuner in the old stuff box. The one in the back of the closet with the harmonica I thought Id learn to play in the sixth grade.

Use to be amazing

Okay so every time ive use this it has worked so well but today it kept saying my a string was perfectly tuned but really it sounded like a D flats and every other string was like that too
