Great App

This app really helps me even up through 7th position on my violin; it is extremely accurate with the tone--so much so that it can take awhile to get it just right. Great, very specific tuner.

The tuning fork is wonderful for training the ear for fourth, fifth, and seventh positions by listening to the tones (A3-A6) for a while. I have recommended this app to my students; I have noticed that beginners cant listen to the open G, though.

My overall assessment as a violin player: great for tuning and playing by ear from 1st (-G) to 7th position.
